Are you seeing this error when syncing orders into QuickBooks Online?

Error

Error:6000: [A business validation error has occurred while processing your request, Business Validation Error: We're sorry, QuickBooks encountered an error while calculating tax. Try reselecting the tax rate or reentering the product/service item and saving the form again.

This error usually occurs when:

  • A tax-related setting/mapping is incorrectly set/missing in our sync.

Troubleshooting Steps

  • Visit MyWorks Sync > Settings > Tax Rate, and check to see if the 0% Tax Rate option is mapped correctly to a 0% rate. This is usually Out of Scope, No VAT – but can change based on your company. If this is set to Exempt, try changing to a different 0% rate.
  • If the error still remains, check your tax mappings in MyWorks Sync > Map. Ensure everything is correctly mapped to corresponding rates in QuickBooks, then click save.
